Body found in Anacostia River that of man missing from Nationals game, police say Monday

The body of a man pulled from the Anacostia River on Saturday has been identified as a 25-year-old from Alexandria who disappeared during a rain delay at a May 5 Nationals game, D.C. police said Monday.

Sinkhole closes part of road in Northwest D.C.

D.C. Police said the 5700 block of 27th Street NW is closed Monday morning because of a sinkhole.
It was not immediately known how big the sinkhole was. The street is closed between Northampton Street and Nebraska Avenue NW.

Washington Post Settles Lawsuit From Circulation Contractor

The Washington Post last month settled a lawsuit filed by an independent contractor who claimed the Post welched on its promise to refund unsold copies of the paper he bought for distribution to retailers such as CVS.

Man dies in stabbing on Northwest Branch Trail

A man died after a stabbing on the Northwest Branch trail on Saturday night.

The Maryland-National Capital Park Police says in a statement that they got a call at about 11:30 Saturday night about a man lying unconscious on the ground near the 1500 block of Quebec Street.

Still no target date for launch of DC streetcars

Body found in Anacostia River

Capture

Metropolitan Police Department officials say a man’s body has been found in the Anacostia River.

The body was reported shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday. Someone found it close to the 300 block of Water Street SE. Police are investigating.
