Sinkhole closes part of road in Northwest D.C. D.C. Police said the 5700 block of 27th Street NW is closed Monday morning because of a sinkhole. It was not immediately known how big the sinkhole was. The street is closed between Northampton Street and Nebraska Avenue NW.
