Real estate agent gives back by amplifying local businesses in the communities her team serves through podcast interviews and press release distribution.

As a local real estate agent, I know small businesses are the foundation of the communities where I live and work. This initiative is our way of giving back to the neighborhoods we serve.”
— Red Hilton, Founder, AskForRed.com Real Estate Team
QUINCY, MA, UNITED STATES, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Massachusetts real estate agent Red Hilton is continuing her commitment to supporting small businesses through “Tell Us a Story Local,” a community engagement initiative developed by the AskForRed.com Real Estate Team in collaboration with Boston-based public relations and marketing agency Belmont City Press LLC.

The initiative highlights independent businesses throughout southeastern Massachusetts, providing opportunities to share their stories, increase visibility and connect with new audiences through interviews, social media content and press release distribution, all at no cost to participating businesses.

“After more than 30 years in real estate, I've learned that communities are about much more than houses,” said Hilton, founder of the AskForRed.com Real Estate Team. “They're about the people who live there, the businesses that serve them and the relationships that make a neighborhood feel like home. Small businesses are the backbone of our communities, and we want to help shine a light on them.”

Highlighting the people behind local businesses

The initiative has featured local entrepreneurs, including Adina O'Neill, founder of Milton-based TeamB*Real, and Lili Jimenez, founder of South Boston-based Lili Latin Dance, highlighting their businesses, professional journeys and contributions to their communities.

From family-owned shops and neighborhood restaurants to independent service providers and fitness studios, small businesses contribute to the character and economic vitality of local communities.

“Think about the businesses you recommend to friends, the owners who remember your name and the places that make your neighborhood special,” Hilton said. “These are our neighbors, and their success matters to all of us.”

Helping small businesses build visibility

The initiative provides participating business owners with professional marketing resources without the expense or significant time commitment typically associated with content production.

Each participant receives:

Personalized preparation: Guidance developing a 30-second elevator pitch and interview questions.

Podcast-style interview: A guided conversation about the owner's story, expertise and customers.

Social media content: Approximately 15 to 20 short-form video clips.

Press release feature: Professional preparation and distribution highlighting the business.

Expanded visibility: Opportunities for social media exposure and potential local or national media coverage.

Ready-to-use marketing materials: Content to help communicate expertise and maintain an online presence.

The process requires approximately 90 minutes of the business owner's time and can be completed in one or two virtual sessions. Participation is free.

A collaboration that gives back

AskForRed.com collaborates with Belmont City Press LLC to produce interviews, develop social media content and prepare and distribute press releases featuring participating businesses.

“Small business owners are busy running their businesses,” Hilton said. “Marketing often becomes another expense or another task they don't have time for. We want to make it easier for them to share what makes their businesses special and give them content they can continue using.”

A rising tide lifts all boats

For Hilton, the initiative reflects a longstanding belief that supporting local businesses strengthens the neighborhoods where people live, work and raise families.

“There's an expression I've always appreciated: A rising tide lifts all boats,” Hilton said. “When local businesses succeed, they create jobs, support families and contribute to stronger neighborhoods. Their success becomes part of the community's success.”

Hilton believes real estate professionals have a particular opportunity to recognize and support the businesses that help make communities desirable places to live.

“As a real estate team serving those same communities, we believe giving back should include supporting the mom-and-pop shops, entrepreneurs and independent businesses that help make them thrive,” she said.

Local businesses invited to participate

AskForRed.com welcomes independently owned businesses throughout Plymouth, Norfolk and Bristol counties and surrounding Massachusetts communities to participate in upcoming interviews.

Business owners can visit TellUsAStoryLocal.com to learn about the program, view previous interviews and connect with Hilton to be considered for a feature.
