County issues evacuation orders for Placitas
Due to forecasted worsening weather conditions Doña Ana County is issuing an evacuation order for Placitas in addition to the previously issued evacuations for Hatch, Rincon, Salem and Garfield.
Residents and visitors in Placitas, Hatch, Rincon, Salem and Garfield are strongly encouraged to evacuate now and move to a safe location before conditions worsen.

Residents are encouraged to use Interstate-25 as their route of evacuation.
Residents who are evacuating should take essential medications, identification, important documents, necessary supplies and items for children and pets.
Residents should not wait until conditions worsen to evacuate.
