PUBLIC NOTICE

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Brunswick County Social Services is hosting a free information session for adults interested in becoming foster parents on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will take place in the Brunswick County Social Services building in Bolivia.

Foster care is temporary care for children whose families are in crisis and are unable to provide for them. Foster and Adoptive Parents play a vital role in understanding the needs of these children during these difficult times. With the help of foster parents, intervention and nurturing can make all the difference to a child in need.
