Tucker Carlson Denounces US Response to Iranian School Attack

(MENAFN) American journalist Tucker Carlson has stated that the United States is “not worth fighting for” if it carried out the bombing of an Iranian school but refuses to acknowledge responsibility. Speaking on his YouTube podcast Tuesday, Carlson argued that a nation cannot claim moral authority while denying civilian casualties.

He was referring to the strike on a school in the southern Iranian city of Minab on February 28, which marked the start of extensive US-Israeli operations against Iran. Iranian reports claimed that more than 160 people were killed in the attack.

Investigations by several American media outlets have suggested that a US Tomahawk cruise missile may have been involved. President **Donald Trump** has denied these allegations, suggesting that Iran itself might have been responsible.

Carlson emphasized that the United States must “behave with honor” to preserve its credibility. He argued that if the deaths of the schoolgirls were accidental, Washington should publicly admit the mistake instead of denying involvement.

He called for a thorough investigation to determine whether the incident was truly a “tragic mistake,” noting that the school was located adjacent to an Iranian military compound and appeared to serve as an educational institution for officers’ children. Open acknowledgment of the error, Carlson argued, would allow the US to maintain moral integrity.

“Because if you wake up in the morning and you’re living in the kind of country that thinks it’s okay to kill not simply military officers but their daughters, that country is not worth fighting for,” he said.

Reports indicate that public support for the Iran conflict is relatively low. Analyses suggest that approval for the US-Iran operations is among the weakest compared to previous US military engagements since World War II. A Reuters/Ipsos poll in early March indicated that only one in four Americans supports the US-Israeli strike on Iran.

Trump, however, has dismissed the polling, asserting that he must “do the right thing” to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons—a claim Tehran has consistently denied.
