"Along the way, Robert deals with numerous people who influenced his life, forcing him into conflict with good and bad on each side. His loving and supportive mother and grandfather, who always believed in him; and his girlfriend," a spokesperson from The Miracle Center explained. "He deals with an alcoholic, drug addicted father that abandons the family, an abusive stepfather, and gangs that lure him into dealing drugs. His life's adversaries lead Robert to climbing the broken ladder of corporate America to success."
"The Miracle Center is excited to mount 'The Barrio Project' and make it come to life," stated Vanessa Torres, one of the producers of the production. It's a compilation that depicts Robert's story, as well as the lives of many teenagers today."
"Violence across the globe, and in Chicago IL, in particular, has been spinning out of control for decades," says Robert Renteria. "I was honored to collaborate with Artistic Director & Content Creator, Maria Torres; Producers Mary Santana; Vanessa Torres, and the Youth and production team at The Miracle Center to provide a viable solution."
