Canadian Artist is Releasing a JRPG Inspired Indie Game Called Godproof

An inclusive, story-driven, action RPG with funky music and engaging characters!

Help Nigel Grimstead fund his latest game Godproof, an inclusive, story-driven, action RPG!

EAST YORK, ON, CANADA, July 31, 2021 / — Godproof is about pushing back the darkness, to discover the unforeseen truths of your very existence! Play as Raiden, a young swordsman determined to return home, accompanied by the bubbly sorceress Eve. Slay cosmic horrors, and make some very interesting friends along the way!

The goal of the kickstarter is to help pay for the—current and future—licences and equipment all used to make this game a reality. Nigel has been developing this game using RPG Maker MV on his 2013 Mac Book Pro he has been using since high school. There are still certain programs he requires, however, he does not have access to them because the current hardware is unable to use the latest applicable operating systems. Nigel needs to upgrade his equipment so he can deliver the best content possible!

Nigel is asking for $5000 CAD for Godproof's kickstarter campaign. He has reached 40% of the goal so far, but the campaign has only 30 days left to reach 100%. Contributors have the opportunity to purchase a limited reward that allows you to be in the game, make your contribution soon!

>> <<

"What does “Godproof” mean?" Godproof is NOT intended to be anti-religion. The name is what best describes the main character Raiden, and his natural immunity to the powers of omnipotent beings, hence god-proof. Nigel wanted to design a game that truly empowered the player, without being overkill. That’s when he thought, “What if they were immune solely to gods?” and ran with that.

"What inspired Godproof?" Nigel took inspiration from all the fun franchises he love, such as Devil May Cry, Stranger Things, Elder Scrolls, Dark Souls, and many more. He loves DMC to bits, but not everyone can play fast action-based games like those. Nigel made compromise using RMMV engine’s Final Fantasy-style turn based battle system; using a multitude of plugins to make the combat more fast-paced and interesting, without overcomplicating it.

Godproof will be released on Steam for PC and Mac OS users by August 2022

Food, grocery, medicine, laundry, water, and much more. there is a section on the app that says The black market which is for black-owned businesses in the community. The founder and CEO Stevenson Michael Joseph wanted to make a difference across the nation. Plucker stands for People Love Unity Culture Kindness Embrace Relationships.

In 2019, Stevenson aspired to launch Plucker, planned and positioned himself properly to have the foundations for launching Dec 2020. After months of learning the codes, taking classes, and financial planning, Plucker LLC was launched in Dec 2020! Once launched, the heavy volume and orders caused the app to crash. This was one of the few obstacles Plucker faced. Pushing through the payment system crash, app crash, Stevenson learned a better coding system to withstand the increasing volume of plucker customers and team.

Just starting, over 30 restaurants and local businesses joined Plucker LLC, originally named Pluckershop. Although Plucker LLC had many orders, we had a lack of drivers. Because of the volume of stores and customer orders, Plucker is always hiring more drivers. During a slow drop in sales for a couple of months, Stevenson had to keep motivated by planning other ways to keep Plucker going. Figuring out the needs for the community and what we lacked, how Plucker can be here to make a difference. A few months went by and Stevenson expanded Plucker to deliver anything to customers' doorstep. Food, groceries, laundry, medicine, and more. Stevenson did all the planning, researching, funding, and goal setting for Plucker.

In June 2021 Plucker have launched their own social media platform called Pluck a black-owned social media platform that rivals Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.

In July 2021 Stevenson Michael Joseph launched another app called Plucker Cab. Plucker cab gives cheap affordable rides to the black community, it offers different types of cab variations to choose from such as Plucker Green, Plucker Yellow, and Plucker Black.

What I stand for is something beyond Justice, I stand for those who were told no, I stand for those who were told they can’t make it anywhere because of the color of their skin. I stand for the impossible because I’m possible. I stand for those in the black community who think giving up is an option. I don’t care what people think or say about me or Plucker. I care about the difference Plucker makes in this world. Changing the lives of people across the world. My dreams will be realized and known throughout time and space.

PluckerApp is the new food delivery service on the block. The app can be downloaded via Google Play and App Store for Android and iOS devices respectively. When we award our scholarships, it is more than just providing financial assistance to young men, it is a tangible representation of our belief in their abilities and our commitment to helping them achieve future success," he added.

“Winning this scholarship was an incredible honor and I hope this will be an example for other young men to see the impact of hard work, dedication and perseverance”, said Johnnie Brooker who will attend Marquette University majoring in Journalism and Political Science this Fall.

“The Marion B. Frederick scholarship relieves some of the stress that I felt because of the increasing costs of pursing a college degree”, said recipient Nolan Lee. “I am grateful to the Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha, Dr. Brian Agnew and Mr. Mark Hassell for stepping up and serving as role models for me to look up to”. Lee also expressed a great deal of excitement as he packs and prepares for his freshman year at Hampton University, majoring in Biology.

Through the generous support of the members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, combined with invaluable community support, the Foundation has been able to provide more than $200,000 in valuable programming and financial resources to local students at the middle school, high school and college levels, to support their efforts and encourage them to pursue higher education.
Given the recent public impact of social, cultural and health-related events, it reiterates the importance of our commitment to the academic success of young men, particularly of color, throughout our communities”, said Brian D. Agnew, Scholarship Chair.
A third Essex County resident, Prince Appiah received the Marion B. Frederick Book Award to assist with expenses at Davidson College in North Carolina, where he intends to major in Biology and Public Health.

“This is a labor of love and words will never do justice to the fulfillment our Board and donors get in knowing we have played a small role in the growth and development of our next generation of leaders. Through this engagement we have planted the seeds in future lawyers, community activists, doctors, college / university educators, and the next wave of elected officials," added Agnew.

Oregon Gubernatorial Candidate Bud Pierce says State Mask Mandates for Students is an Overreach

Dr. Pierce believes that local jurisdictions, elected school board members, and parents should make those decisions for their students.

Local officials and parents know their children and communities the best.”

— Dr. Bud Pierce, Oncologist and Candidate for Oregon Governor

SALEM, OR, UNITED STATES, July 31, 2021 / — Republican candidate for Oregon Governor, Dr. Bud Pierce criticized Kate Brown for overreaching with her mask mandate for K-12 students. Dr. Pierce believes that local jurisdictions, elected school board members, and parents should make those decisions for their students.

On July 29, Brown released a statement directing the Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Department of Education to create a rule that requires masks indoors for students in the upcoming school year.

Dr. Pierce has been a strong advocate for vaccinations and has carefully followed the science. He has repeatedly said that our children “should return to an in-class learning environment.”

In response to the mandate, Dr. Pierce said, “Science has demonstrated that children are resilient if they contract COVID-19. The two-shot vaccines have demonstrated a 99.9% effectiveness rate in preventing COVID-19 infection in immunized adults. I have many concerns about Gov. Brown creating this mandate, at this time, for every student in the state. We need to trust our local elected officials and parents. We should not have our children learning in a fear-based environment.”

Not all communities have the same level of risk. Dr. Pierce believes that regulations should be based on actual vaccination rates, the number of students in a given school district, and the area’s population size.

“Local officials and parents know their children and communities the best. A COVID-19 safety plan driven by local officials increases community buy-in and more accurately reflects a community’s actual safety needs,” Dr. Pierce said.

Dr. Pierce added, “My concern is that the Governor will put the burden on teachers to be ‘mask enforcers’ instead of educators. Governor Brown has failed to provide clear leadership, consistent messaging, and practical advice throughout this entire pandemic.”

Bud Pierce, M.D, Ph.D. is a business owner and senior partner of Oregon Oncology Specialists, one of the last physician-owned practices on the West Coast. He announced his candidacy for governor on the Republican ticket in April 2021. Approved photos and biography can be found at To arrange an interview with Dr. Pierce, email

Sheraz Khan of Longueuil and Brossard QC is helping boost trade industry workforce with specialized home construction

Sheraz Khan Brossard

Sheraz Khan is a well-known and renowned Canadian construction expert

When we build, we always think of how to help the elderly have the highest quality of life through safety and ease.”

— Sheraz Khan

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC, CANADA, July 31, 2021 / — Sheraz Khan is a well-known and renowned Canadian construction expert. Sheraz graduated from Concordia University in Montréal, Québec, Canada, with a bachelor's degree in engineering.

Sheraz Khan, who is originally from Longueuil, has helped boost trade industry workforce with specialized home construction projects. These projects were specifically made to suit the needs of disabled or elderly people.

Sheraz started his career by working for Lafarge Cement Canada's Montreal Research Facility, in which he maintained safety testing for gears and performed technical evaluations for this kind of machineries, along with other duties related to his degree's expertise.
Sheraz also tutored, which gave him the opportunity to put his math, physics, and engineering abilities to better use through instructing and empowering secondary school students, but also evaluating and reviewing their progress with both children and parents. He also handled real estate investing, acquisition, renovation, and resale on Montreal's south side. Mr. Khan was previously in charge of a wide range of responsibilities, comprising construction, architecture, management, engineering, and implementation, as well as laws and regulations. He was even in charge of the estate rental process, which included managing, preserving, and revamping it. Sheraz Khan, on the other hand, was formerly employed as a real estate agent. Sheraz's responsibilities included facilitating everyday property investment activities, overseeing all aspects of properties from small apartments to large apartment complexes, and managing rents, which included everything from locating homeowners to establishing guidelines and performing evictions. He needed to market the homes to make up for any deficiencies, but also inspect the estate and check for any issues.

Sheraz Khan spent a significant amount of time learning a wide range of applications and tools, including MS Office and Photoshop, C++, Matlab, ANYSIS, AutoCAD, CATIA and Solid Works, and Labview, in order to complete all of the duties and obligations he was given.

This Longueuil-born Sheraz co-owns a construction advisors' business with his colleague Richard Keith Lenon, in addition to his own professions.
Now back to Sheraz’s specialized home construction projects, the work he put into it proved to revolutionize the field. For starters, Sheraz made a plan he was thinking of for a while, and then set it into motion. Basically, this plan was for him to make specialized homes with specific requirements and modifications that would suit the elderly and disabled’s specific needs. The idea that he came up with consists of, first of all, making modifications to the homes’ plans in order to make the general structure more suitable to the elderly’s walking aid and/or equipment. Sheraz also included specific setups for wheelchairs in case the client uses one. After that, Sheraz went on to decide on the kind of materials that would be used in the houses. For example, the floor is not supposed to be too hard so as to reduce the impact it might have on its elderly owners in case of fall or any other similar accident.

The modifications and material used included way more than just that. As we all know, many elderly people start to develop back problems starting from a certain age, which is why it becomes harder for them to reach anything that is too high or too low. To solve that problem, Mr. Khan put plans to make all the needed cupboards and dressing tables reachable by modifying the general height of all built-in equipment in the house. In a way, that would, for example, even be useful for people with special needs that are unable to reach high areas of the house since that would reduce both the physical and psychological strain that they might develop.

While thinking of the elderly, Mr. Khan also thought about the visual problems they start developing, which is why he made plans to integrate a special type of lighting in the house. Since vision declines after a certain age, Sheraz made sure to integrate a special lighting in the walls all over the house. This lighting system he integrated is made specifically to reduce glare while providing enough light for people to safely perceive their surroundings. In a way, that lighting system is similar to fluorescent but with more practicality since the targeted users are supposedly having less visual acuity than normal. In fact, this was also made to suit the needs of even people with severely bad eyesight since it would enable them to perceive their surroundings to a significantly higher extent than they can in dim light or with usual lighting.

Other than these very specific modifications, other simpler ones were made to help and protect the inhabitants of the house, and these include getting rubber grips for faucets to avoid injuries, installing grab bars in the bathrooms to help reduce slipping chances, and even installing smart lock systems, since this would help improve the residents’ sense of safety especially with their reduced mobility, and it would also, at the same time, enable the residents’ caretakers to be able to keep a watchful eye on them especially if the residents suffer from diseases like Alzheimer’ which might put the residents at risk if not cared enough for.

On top of these modifications, a built-in system to get access to all kinds of support and/or medical help is installed into all these houses. In a way, it is a form of system that would enable the residents to get access to any help they might need which, in case of emergency, might even be able to improve survivability of the residents. Basically, this system, along with the other modifications, would also make the elderly and disabled residents feel safer and more at ease despite any kind of impairment that they might have due to age, sickness, or any other reason.

So far, this project has received positive reviews and feedback which is why Mr. Sheraz Khan is quite excited about what the future is holding for this project and the further updates he is going to involve in the making of future versions of it.

Michael Andrew Trained in an EZ Pool for Ten Years and Started Breaking National Swimming Records from the Beginning

Michael trained in his EZ Pool every morning.

Michael converted a dance club into a swim club.

Michael designed a customer EZ Training Pool

Michael designed a customer EZ Training Pool

When Michael Andrew was 10 Years Old he needed an easy and affordable lap pool. EZ Pools helped Michael train by giving him access to his own lap pool daily.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CALIFORNIA, USA, July 31, 2021 / — On July 28 2021, the world was introduced to a USA Olympic swimmer by the name of Michael Andrew. Although present at the opening ceremony of the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo Japan, it wasn't until Wednesday night, July 28 2021, that the world saw this remarkably talented swimmer. We at EZ Pools have had the privilege to help Michael become the amazing swimmer he is ultimately destined to be.

In the winter of 2008, EZ Pools received a call from a desperate mother in Aberdeen South Dakota. "There are only two 25 meter indoor pools in this area." Tina Andrew explained to us over the phone. "One of them is controlled by a competiting team and the other is open to the public, but every time we try to practice, some one jumps in the lane." She continued to explain that her and her husband, Peter, quickly recognized their oldest son was a very gifted swimmer – but they had no way to support his talent. Tina in her own right, was a very successful athlete and was a fixture on the UK TV show "Gladiators." Peter, her husband, had been a successful swimmer in the South African Navy. So it was in Michael's blood.

"How can we help?" We offered. Tina went on to explain that they were looking at an old warehouse that had been used as a dance club. "If we gut the whole building and give you the measurements, can you make a pool to fit?" She asked. The answer is always of course. Every EZ Pool is made to order, which is why we offer so many different options. So they got busy gutting, we got busy making and kept busy building. In the span of two months, in the dead of winter, The Andrew family opened their very own swim club – The Aberdeen Aquaholics. And boy did Michael make it worth the investment.

With an indoor, heated, 25 yard pool at his disposal, Michael got busy. A year later he set 12 national records in the 10-under age group. "He's a very gifted athlete, " Peter Andrew said. "Right away when we started, I could see he had talent. He's a real blessing." Even other coaches could quickly recognize true atheletic genius in the making. "He's a very gifted child," said Trevor Layden a coach for another team who later become one of Michael Adnrew's coaches. "He's got a great ethic. I saw him break a couple of national records…he's gotten just that much better as he's gone on." And EZ Pools was there to make it possible.

The Andrew family moved to Lawrence Kansas in mid 2012. The bought a rather large estate that had plenty of room for a new pool. Rather than build a pool to fit, they designed eactly the pool they needed and built the building around it. And once again, they turned to EZ Pools for the perfect training pool.

The most common question we get is about flip turns, "Can an EZ Pool support flip turns by professional athletes?" Yes of course, but the Andrew family discovered a unique advantage. Because an EZ Pool is soft-sided, the wall absorbs some of the kicking energy a swimmer exerts when pushing off. Michael discovered this early on and quickly went to work building up his leg muscles. As a result, he had a greater push off in hard-sided concrete competition pools than his competitors. Did this help him achieve early successes? Hard to say truly other than Michael has always proved to be a very gifted and determined athlete.

Tina and Peter spoke with us in length about the pool they needed. It was different than any other pool we had made at that time. Marked for both 25 yeard and 25 meter, with a little extar room on both ends to allow for rigid bulkheads to be installed. "Why?" We asked Peter. "We need more exact timing and the rigid surface more mimics concrete pools." Very true and at basically 1/10th the cost of a concrete pool.

Michael earned a scholarship in a University in California, so the family packed up a moved again. But rtaher than waste their investment, we helped broker a deal with a small non-profit swim club in Kansas that bought the pool and equipment from the Andrew Family. "We were on a very tight budget," said Melvin Nemechek, one the founders of the swim club. "This purchase saved us so much money, we could buy a smaller additional pool from EZ Pools for a smalelr kids to train in."
May the legacy of Michael's untiring dedication to the sport inspire their swimmers to excel, as well as others. Learn More About EZ Pools at
