Wisconsin author inks positive parenting book with Tate

Author William J. Callaghan recently partnered with Tate Publishing to kick-start the publication process of his parenting guidebook, “Raised with Praise.”

The five star reviews on are telling of the way readers have responded to ‘Raised with Praise.’

— Stacy Baker, Acquisitions Editor, Tate Publishing

EAU CLAIRE, WIS., UNITED STATES, September 14, 2016 / — EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Author William J. Callaghan recently partnered with Tate Publishing to kick-start the publication process of his parenting guidebook, “Raised with Praise: How my Parents Made me a Happy Soul.”

An inspirational story about a large Irish Catholic family and of parents raising children in a positive light, “Raised with Praise” is written as a tribute to Callaghan’s parents and captures stories from his parents, brothers and sisters.

“I wrote this book to inspire other parents and show them another way to look at raising children. In May of 2000, while sitting in the hot tub at the Embassy Suites in Chicago, the idea to write this book landed in the tub like a cannon ball – complete with the title of the book. The Holy Spirit gave me inspiration, guidance, and a helping hand to publish on my own ‘Raised with Praise’ on December 7, 2009. It is about family and the importance of raising children in an atmosphere that is proactive and positive vs. reactive and negative.”

“The five-star reviews on are telling of the way readers have responded to ‘Raised with Praise.’ One of the readers wrote a comment that this self-help book changed the way they plan to raise their son,” states Stacy Baker, Acquisitions Editor for Tate Publishing.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at, or by visiting or

Grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Callaghan has worked since 1980 in his family’s business in Osseo as a Solids Processing Engineer. He wrote and self-published “Raised with Praise” in 2009. In 2015, he was nominated as founding President of the Chippewa Valley Local Authors. He and his wife, Laurel, live in Eau Claire and recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They are blessed with four wonderful children.

On the day Callaghan was born in 1960, his mother was asked by the doctor what she’s going to do differently with her ninth child. Her mom replied, “I’m going to raise him with praise.” Callaghan is a product of that profound approach to parenting and continued that approach when he and his wife raise their four children. He looks at the positives in life because that’s how he was raised from day one.
